How can we help you?

General questions

Fuel, road tolls and driver’s accommodation. 

Entrance fees to attractions and driver gratuities are not included. 

If you plan to visit numerous sites, you might consider purchasing a ‘Heritage Card’ at www.heritageireland.ie

We cater for small group tours from solo travellers to a maximum of 6.

We welcome family groups and can provide a child seat and a booster seat if required. 

We can make the hotel reservations or just give you recommendations and you can make the bookings yourself. 

Breakfast is included unless otherwise specified by the guest.

Many country roads in Ireland are very narrow and winding and occasionally have just one lane for two way traffic. 

Most clients bring an average sized suitcase and one piece of hand luggage.

We advise all of our clients to take out travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances e.g. illness, disrupted flights etc.

We generally pick up around 9.30am and aim to have you back in your hotel between 5.00pm and 6.00pm. 

We will of course be flexible with this. 

Our driver/guides are always ready to respond to requests for free time during your tour.

Itineraries are not cast in stone and your driver/guide will do his best to assist with your requests. 

Each and every driver/guide is local.

No two tours are exactly the same. Each tour itinerary is individually crafted and the price depends on various factors. 

Money

The currency used in Ireland is the Euro (€).

Almost all hotels and restaurants accept major credit cards but some small rural pubs/restaurants may accept cash only.

ATMs are widely available throughout Ireland. 

Payment

We request a deposit to confirm the booking. 

The amount of the deposit will depend on the duration and cost of the tour.

The final payment is due 2 months before your arrival date. 

Weather & climate
Spring (March – May)

In Spring, you might enjoy wonderful sunny weather but then, it might equally be cold and wet. Temperatures fluctuate from around 6 to 11 degrees Centigrade. (42F to 54F). May can have very warm days – up to about 18 degrees Centigrade.

Summer (June – August)

Most days in summer are warm, evenings can be cool, but don’t forget Murphys Law it is Ireland expect rain at anytime. Temperatures average around 14 – 20 degrees Centigrade, (58F – 70F) although it can be up to around 28 degrees Centigrade ( 82F) on some days. Temperatures higher than this are very unusual.

Autumn (September – November)

In Autumn there can be very warm days, but equally there can be very cold ones too! Temperatures fluctuate around the 7 to 14 degrees Centigrade (45F to 60F) mark but are likely to be much warmer in September than November.

Winter (December – early March)

Winter sees Ireland’s shortest and coldest days (about 7-8 hours of daylight) but these can be crisp and bright. Temperatures fluctuate from around 1 to 5 degrees Centigrade (33F to 40F).
